Job Description:

NEW Permanent IR Tech opening near Wellton, AZ! Summary Responsibilities:- Performs routine and emergent interventional radiography procedures under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist, following department protocols for patients of all ages.- Ensures safe radiation dosing for patients, including adhering to "image gently" practices and completing all required quality assurance tasks.- Maintains a clean and safe workplace environment.- Conducts routine and emergent interventional radiography examinations, including obtaining and documenting patient history, using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), explaining procedures to patients, and obtaining consent.- Demonstrates professional flexibility in handling on-call and rotational scheduling demands.- Conducts a wide variety of interventional radiology procedures in sterile field environments as required by Radiologists.- Practices safe radiation techniques in compliance with ARRA regulations and licensing restrictions, particularly in minimizing dose exposures for vulnerable patient groups.- Applies theoretical knowledge to clinical situations, performs advanced skills, seeks consultation when needed, and adheres to departmental policies, procedures, and standards.- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by ensuring proper inventory control and prudent use of resources as directed by department leadership.- Performs any other duties as assigned.Qualifications:- Associate Degree in Radiologic Science or completion of a qualifying Accredited Radiologic Technology Program.Credentials:- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) credential.- Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) credential.Essential Certifications:- American Heart Association certification for Basic Life Support (BLS).- Certification from the Arizona Department of Health Services.- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
